Ok so we have been sucked in with the Clark notion of taking pictures of what we eat. I think it has become a family thing. Well we went a little different for dinner this time. I have the privelage of working with many hispanic people. Every now and then you get the special treat of eating something they brought from home. Well this time I loved what was made. Our little dishwasher Maria who doesn't speak much English made Barbacoa. (She always says Shandy you know I don't speak Ingles) I thought I would be nice and try one, oh but I tried many after the one. I asked her for the recipe. She said it was a family secret, I told her I would not tell anyone. She gave me her leftover sauces and I asked her where to buy the meat. She said when I want to make it just tell her and she will go buy it for me. I told her I wanted to make it on my own. So the next day she brought me the recipe. It was quite funny because the entire thing was in spanish. So I already had the sauces, and one day I will get someone to translate the recipe for me. So today we made Barbacoa. You put meat, cilantro, lime and tomatillo sauce and eat. Now you can always tell when Curtis likes his food, because he makes sounds. And there were many sounds. So it was as an authentic treat and a change from refried beans. We had to top it off with orange soda, I always see the guys at work drinking the orange soda. It goes together well.
