No Treaters!

We didn't get any trick or treaters. Can you believe that? We had only bought 3 candybars for the whole night just in case. We even had our porch lights on. We just live on the outskirts of town.

Hallo's Eve

It's Halloween, every year we do chili and doughnuts with a pumpkin or two at our house. Usually I make homemade doughnuts, but we skipped that hassle this year. So here is our witches brewed drink, which basically became juice flavored with a hint of Carson. Curtis is carving a pumpkin and also the end result. (Cody asked us to take pictures of our night, I think he is getting sick of all the Dexter blogs, whatever wait until you have one. Which I am sure you don't get bothered about the baby question.) So in honor of Cody's request here is a non Dexter page.

Tender

I went grocery shopping and left the boys at home. I was afraid of what I would come home to. But Curtis and Dexter were sound asleep, (that is Dexter sitting on Curtis' chest) the dogs were even sound asleep, (they woke up for the picture) Curtis always seems to get the easy shifts with the baby.

Not everyone likes Halloween

We went to a pumpkin patch today and thought we would get some really good pictures, all we got was a grumpy Dexter. We tried, so here are the results.
Maybe it was just too cold.

Don't mess with a good thing

Curtis was on baby duty, Dexter was crying so Curtis went to change his diaper. Dexter instanly fell asleep on the diaper changing table. So what would any good dad do, he stuck another blanket on him and let him sleep away.

Yesterday Curtis got Dexter to smile for him, I swear Curtis about cried, it was quite cute.

A man's best friend will deceive you:

Stupid dog, so Curtis got his birthday present early this year. Curtis got his own dog back. Raja likes to wander at night, well Thursday night he left and didn't come back. It wasn't until Tuesday that we found him at the pound. (It was nice those 5 days while he was gone) So $90.00 later we got to take Raja home. Home at last and friendship does have a price. Our free dog is getting quite expensive.

Fall is gone

We tried to go see all the fall colors, but I think we missed it. We got to see some leftover colors but for the most part the leaves have all fallen. Luckily it was snowing and made everything look new and white. We drove the alpine loop, and did the loopdy loop. So here are pictures of our not so fall drive. We didn't get out of the car to take any pictures of us, it was freezing.

Oh Crap!

OK this is mean, but we find it so funny when Dexter does his business it is quite fun to watch and we have been trying to take pictures of a poop face, well I sat there with a camera and got it all.
So here he is waking up from a nap:

Here is his 1st push, notice how his face turns red:

Here he is taking a rest:

Pushing again:

Resting:

Pushing still:I think I'm done:

Ok get me out of here:

All this happened in order, there were a couple more pushes and rests, but you get the idea. So we have already humilated our child. Plus its funny.

Floors almost done

This is where the floors are at right now. It took 5 coats of color and 1 coat of glaze to get to this point. We still have a couple more coats of glaze to go. It leaves some fun designs and covers all the flaws of the concrete. It is fun and turned out really nice.

New Basement Funky Floors

Awhile back we spent a long time putting carpet in downstairs, well we just pulled all that up and decided to stain the concret instead. It was probably one of the funnest projects we have done. Maybe it was all the fumes going on.

1st we pulled up the carpet, than we acid washed the concrete, than we put a gold coat down and than added more coats with a bronze. It has taken a lot of coats and drying. We used a weed pump to lay down the colors.

Blessing Day

We blessed Dexter today. His little outfit was worn by all my brothers. We couldn't button up the top button because Dexter is a little bigger than they all were. Here is our fesitve day. Jarom and Dexter are chillin. All the male population are watching football. David and Darren are getting cozy-they called it tea bags????; Don't worry they have been introduced to each a long time before this. Curtis also cleans up really nice.

Late night-Somebody sleeps!

Curtis is a great husband, but he does do some funny things. Curtis wants to try and help out with some of the late night baby calls, but sometimes he sleeps right through the crying and the nudging from me. The other night he slept through it all and went to work feeling bad, even his co-workers asked him what was wrong.

Last night I asked him how much Dexter had eaten, he responded-9 months. I asked again and he said I meant 2 months. I asked again and he said he ate a ton. I go to feed Dexter and there is a full bottle barely touched on the couch. Of course Curtis doesn't remember a bit of anything the next day. So here is Curtis soundly sleeping.

Tricky, Tired, Chubby

So Dexter has learned how to cry and he does it quite well. He likes to throw a mini-fit about every day. It wasn't until today that I found out the magic of the vacuum, blow dryer and swamp cooler. Those loud sounds just calm him right down. I haven't been able to get him to sit in his bouncer, but today we stuck a blow dryer right underneath him and he enjoyed it for a whole hour.

Here he is in his grown up clothes, he has moved up a size and we have already boxed up his 0-3 months clothes. 3-6 month clothes here we come for a 1 month chubby baby.
