Thursday Night

Curtis and I haven't had a date night since Febraury. Tonight Lorraine let us go to dinner just the two of us. No child and I am glad to report that we got through the entire meal without food on the floor. Who would have thought that a round at the golf range and dinner of 2 hours could be so refreshing. We are glad to report Curtis just finished his summer semester, so we get to be somewhat sane for 2 months.
After dinner we headed to the Lybberts for late night backyard fun.

Dexter just relaxing.

Dexter on the old unused lawnmower-Beep, Beep. I think he looks like his Uncle David here, those cheeks will do it.

Isn't Jarom such a good uncle, sometimes grumpy but good and soft hearted deep down.

Craig in his more innocent state: that is a rhubarb leaf in case you are wondering.

Dexter and Doug

End of the night-time to go!
My raspberry and cream grasses are getting big.

Thanksgiving Point

Dexter and I went to Thanksgiving point to check out all the farm animals.

Dexter checking out the baby ducks

Baby goats

Dexter feeding some goats

Darn pale kid of mine, when he is out in the sun his chub cheeks turn bright red and I almost panick thinking something is wrong, does he need water? does he need sunscreen, a hat, or just some more Indian blood.

Teeth

Dexter is learning how to brush his teeth. He is doing quite well. I told him lets go brush your teeth and he runs to the bathroom saying, teeeeeeeeeeth!
1st day of brushing his teeth he held onto his toothbrush for about 30 minutes and tonight I got it from him after 10 minutes.

Stinkin' Cute Kid

Dexter went to a BBQ in my parents neighborhood. Dexter was glued to this little car. He kept saying cheese out the window to Craig. I think a cookie or two was involved as well.

Awhile back Lorraine (grandma) was watching Dexter at her house because she was a little skittish in her bowels. (Kind of like the ones at the bottom of the grand canyon) Dexter and Lorraine we chillin minding their P's and Q's. Suddenly Lorraine had an urge and tended to her business; leaving Dexter supposedly minding his P's and Q's. Lorraine hears Jarom come home and yell what are you doing.............No! Dexter says his famous, I'm in trouble "HI." Lorraine rushes along as fast as she could and finds Jarom with a sharpie in hand and a happy Dexter. Right than Craig comes home and back when we were kids that was when all hell ran loose and we knew we were in trouble. But what does Craig do; he looks at his sharpied cabinet drawer and just laughs. Jarom starts taunting Dexter, oooh its a good thing he is a grandpa now because there is no way we would have gotten away with that one.

It's official, big news, announcement!!!

No I am not pregnant, my biological clock is not ticking just yet. Starting Monday I will be the acting General Manager at CPK and that will go official in a couple months (I have to act it out first). See if you can follow this: Todd is stepping down from RD, Doug is becoming RD leaving his GM at Gateway, David is taking GM at Gateway and I am becoming GM at Orem which makes Melissa AGM at Orem and we get to find more DSL's at Orem and soon find another manager. I really don't know what happens to my RTM status. Phew that was fun!

No but really I am excited and surprised, scared and highly freaked out. My mind is already spinning at what we will and could do. CPK has been so good to me and given me more than I ever could imagine. My mom always says that things happen for a reason and your put there for a reason. And its there so why not take it. I always tell Melissa my co-manager that God cares about CPK, especially the past dozen times I have lost my restuarant key, and each time I still manage to find those darn keys. So scary that I am being put in charge of a restuarant that I am always losing keys to. (only recently) We have such good kids there, and they make us great and we have seen so many make great turn arounds in their life and make something great of them.

This is exciting, fun, scary, whoa, bound to happen, and another huge blessing in our lives.
