Sundays are exhausting

Christmas Party with Craig and Lorraine

Craig and Lorraine have the best ward Christmas party every year. We have never missed a one. Breakfast, cookies, PJ's and Santa. Plus Craigy loves to show off his grandson.

If your in Heber you have to stop at Dairy Keen to see the train.
Especially with a 2 year old boy with a fetish for trains.

Nativity Scenes

Lorrain, Dexter and me went to Midway to see Nativity Scenes around the world. We went room to room just looking at different cultures and their Nativity Scenes.
They had a kids area with nativity finger puppets and stories.

Kicking It

I looked back and found Dexter sitting like this. He gets that one from his father.

Pinion Christmas Tree

We were exicite to find our old grandpa in Lehi selling trees. He cut them down off an Indian Reservation in New Mexico. We have to get an Indian tree to put a little culture in our holiday.

Dexter scoping out the trees.

Funny Kids

I love working at CPk and working with all the young tykes we have. Age 17-26-they make the world seem carefree and they don't worry about much. So I have 2 funny stories from my employees.
1st one Christian:
Christian and his friends were so excited to go to the Cold Play concert. He bought the tickets months ago and all his friends had paid him back. They got work off and headed to the big city for their concert. They present their tickets and they wouldn't work, so the worker sends them to another entrance, they try again and it doesn't work, so they are sent to another entrance. On the third entrance it is pointed out to them that the tickets were for St. Paul Minnesota 3 nights ago. Sad-devastated boys. They let Christian into the concert and his friends had to re-buy tickets to get in. He was just so excited he didn't even double check the city and date.
2nd story Haylee:
I have a sweet 17 year old girl that works for me. One day her mom called me and told me that she is quitting for her daughter. I was surprised and asked why-she said that she works with bad kids. (That was the first time to hear that-I have really good kids working there) So I had to get to the bottom of this story. Come to find out the night before Haylee-sweet and pure had pierced her nose with 2 of our bussers. ( I must point out that she was off the clock and done with work) Well mom wasn't too happy. That was it Haylee had to quit; because I think by her own choice, not the bussers that helped pierce here nose. Funny that she had to quit because of these boys, but goes to school with these boys as well. It has been 2 months and Haylee has fulfilled her punishment. Haylee and mom had healed their wounds and Haylee was allowed back to work at CPK. When she came back to ask for her job, I asked how was her nose. Anyway she is back and we love having her back.
Those are just 2 of latest stories at my work. Funny kids and they definately make work fun.

Projects

The projects never end or get 100% finished here.
This actually is an improvement, there use to be a gaping hole on the left: that got patched.
And our tiny laundry room got painted orange.
Next up shelves and a door of some sort.

This corner never has been painted; its just been hanging out.

It finally got painted. Next up paint the ceiling and paint the molding.

Survived!

I am glad to report that I survived the last 2 weeks of my life. I definately faced alot of new challenges and don't even want to add up the hours that I worked during the past 2 weeks; plus the addition of strepth throat I got during it all. It would frighten me. But now I am thankful that Danny my Kitchen Manager and Lorraine my greatest mom are back. I left work early today for my sanity sake. Ahhhh! Bless someone's heart.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving came and went. It was a nice good one.
We headed out to WEJO for the day. My sweet boy-ate like a champ!

Brother Jarom got adopted into the Clark family.
His family ditched him.

Let them eat PIE!!

I stole this idea from Adam and Kay Robinson last year. It's a pie party-because you are so stinkin stuffed at Thanksgiving you can't enjoy and savor your pie. We had everyone bring a pie; 11 total-cut small and we ate PIE! Best idea ever. It's tasty and I definately have had my pie fix that I'll be okay on Thursday when their is no room left for that pie.
Darn cupcake found it's way to the pie party!
Pretty though!

Movie night

So I have had quite the week. Everything has hit me good from Friday to Tuesday. It all started with Danny my kitchen manager going on vacation and Lorraine going home to AZ. They sparked my hectic week. It started with doing closing to opening shifts, soccer game, jumping fences, sharing time, counting inventory to counting inventory, to forgetting to place an order, a manager not showing up, $1000.00 takeout order, praying for my produce order, printer going down, waiting hours for authorization of new printer, RD visits during all this, so I sent home all the work that I couldn't finish at work and than get home to find out our internet was yanked out of the wall for direct tv, so back to work I went at 1 am with tears in my eyes to finish up the saga. But I survived it. Feeling better about things I decided to go Christmas shopping. I turned the corner of the aisle and who do I see Brother Hague 1st counselor in the bishopric. 1st thought that comes to mind is crap- he is going to talk to me about the primary presidency and how our primary president is moving and we need a new one. I am determined to think that God will not throw this one at me. Brother Hague is like Shandy' this is so weird I was just assigned to call you. (Instant crap!) He says, as you have probably heard, (yes-yes-double crap)..............about our Christmas programs during sacrement.............uh-huh??................we want you to be the closing speaker. I instantly am relieved and very willing, not realizing what I was agreeing to but just thankful it had nothing to do with primary. Than it sinks in that I am the main speaker in sacrament for Christmas. Man I got set up real good. At least I have lots of time to prepare and so I went home and put up Christmas decorations a week earlier to get in the Christmas speaking mindset.

It's November and I have flowers blooming.

Soccer

We went to the Salt Lake Real game last week. Fun stuff. I felt like I was in a foreign place. I have never been to a soccer game and didn't know my husband and cousin were such intense fans. The funny part of the night was getting to and from our parking. We thought we found a good deal, $5.00 and you could see the stadiun from the lot. We were in for a surprise. We had to go through a dirt path and came across 2 fences. There were swarms of people and we had to climb over the fences to get there. I don't even know when the last time was that I climbed over a fence. The funny ironic part was I had all these hispanics helping me over. I felt like I was jumping the border. But we made it safely to and from the game.

Birthday Extravaganza!

We had a 3 way birthday party. Jen on the 19th, Curtis the 6th and Jarom the 12th. We went to dinner at Ottavios and had 3 cakes. 3 cakes because each and every one of them are so special and great. Jen had a caramel corn cake, Curtis a coconut cake and Jarom a rice krispy cake. Phew we get a birthday break until the end of December and that is just Brady's which we always just figure it's Christmas that'll do.

1st Trick or Treat

This was our first time trick or treating with the Dex Man.

So we grabbed Grandma Lybbert and hit up her neck of the woods.

What a fun time! Dexter loved his costume and wouldn't take it off.

So fun and so cute!!!!

Halloween Party

We had our annual pumpkin, chilli, doughnut party. Jarom as Jackie Moon
Brady and Jen dressed up as Brady and Jen.
Check out Brad's cleavage-That is his real hair.
My parents said that after awhile you start to look like your spouse.
This one came just a bit sooner than most.
Thanks to Richard and Sharon for coming to Utah just for our party.
Dexter's first pumpkin experience.
Jed busy at work while Nalani was waiting in the car to get home.
Curtis' pumpkin masterpiece.

Father and son.
Everyone says they look identical-
I am done being in denial that Dexter does not look like me.
I should have seen it based on the skin tone.
I am over it and these two are adorable.
The aftermath explosion of pumpkin guts.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
