Spat a tat!!!

First off I love Curtis, he is a hard worker and did great installing the bathroom tile. He definately gives me things to laugh about-make fun of........................ So I was unloading the dishwasher and found my best cheap spatula had some white film on it. Curtis had used it to aid him in his tile work. As I presented this to him, I told him he could have used any other spatula and that I don't use his tools to cook with. Ha-ha. But our tile does look really good.

Easter Bunny not parents; my bad

OK so Curtis isn't the only one that does stupid things, we both contribute. Yesterday we were teaching our primary class and we had time to kill. So I brought up easter (we were just talking about it in sharing time) So I asked the kids have your parents ever hid your easter baskets in some funny places. The kids just stared at me. I said your parents don't hide your baskets. Curtis nudged me, said "BUNNY". I hurried and asked them about the easter bunny hiding their baskets. Instantly they all raised their hands to tell their story and didn't think anything of me ruining their innocence. So yes to the 5 year olds in our ward, thankfully they still believe in the easter bunny, tooth fairy and santa. I could have been released from primary.

I got a tooty, or a teeter!

Today at church Dexter shoved my finger in his mouth an chomped down, much to my surprise and excitement I found a tooth. Dexter got his first tooth on the bottom and the one next to it is starting to come in. He just surprised us. No fussiness or sickness just a tooth popped in. I can't believe it, it was so exciting. He has got chomps!!!!!

You so funny, you make me laugh so hard, oh my sides

Today was Dexter's laughing party. We did plenty of laughing, (Carl said when he went to the bathroom he pushed it until it was down-now he was talking about the toilet handle, we are using the backup toilet until the bathroom is back up) We had a hot dog buffet, any way you could make a dog-polish, brats, cheese and plain, which means you had to have more than one-chili, chicago, sauerkraut, plain. For dessert we had a hostess buffet: twinkies, ding-dongs, suzy-q's and cupcakes. All kid friendly. Good times by all. We were thankful to have people over because it finally forced us to clean out the dining room which has been the storage room through the many projects.

I am a has been or a never was

I decided to go to church volleyball. Now I thought I use to be an athlete? I went to volleyball with all these older women and played the slowest 30 minutes of volleyball in my life. Now being around these women definitely made me feel better about my physique. Sadly when I was done, I was exhausted and so thirsty. (I came home to my water shut off, Curtis was doing the tile) The funny part is a couple days after my huge workout my muscles are so sore and I can't move. I never would have thought that church volleyball would wipe me out.

Nope we were late!

Primary is the best and this has to be the best story yet. Last Sunday, Joey who is the worst kid in primary gave a talk. He took about 15 minutes to give his talk. He had a puzzle that the class was suppose to come up and put together. At the end he brought each person up one by one, "Now where do you think this puzzle piece goes?" His mom was terrified and tried to get him to do it all at once and hurry, he thought about it and said no, and than continued on. Finally he was done. The bishop was there to speak, he told Joey he did such a good job and spent so much time on his talk. Joey said nope, he only worked on it that morning, the bishop said he must have woken up so early, he said, "Nope we were late." Of course mom was mortified.

The wise man built his house with GLUE?

Our house was built with nails, glue and oh yes carpet. Which means our bathroom floors consist of just glued down carpet. Nice and sanitary I am sure. So since we painted we thought we would just keep going. Carpet is gone, toilet is out and tacky board is down. Now just tile and grout, patience and time. Curtis hates me because I want the tile angled, I saw a thing on TV that said it would expand the room. So this is our progress right now, and we get the luxury of using our master bathroom toilet. (It is so handy and small that you can wash your hands while you sit)

Knock Knock

We painted a door, the before and after: we only have 5 more exterior doors to go. We can't buy new doors, so they just get painted. I think everyone should have a colored door. (unless you have a white door than don't listen to me) So yes we are still bouncing around with projects and that leaves us with many unfinished projects.

New View

The property next to us is getting developed and the first house is starting to go up. Here is what we get to see, so this is the size of houses that will be going in next to us. Curtis is still hopeful that he will still have his view of the lake, I told him to be just as hopeful as Pat was with her view of the mountains. I think it will end in the same result.

I really should stop watching HGTV

So it only takes me about a day to decide on the color of paint that I want. Than we just do it. We re-painted our bathroom, I have been staring at the gray for a year trying to convince myself that it could work. So we just headed to Lowes picked the shade and painted away. This is the funnest and brightest color we have yet. Either I have a really good husband that lets me express myself or we just like fun colors. We like it, it may be a little extreme for others, so if you are at our house it is happy potty time! Next up installing a new kitchen sink, painting the exterior doors and exterior brick.

Uncie J

I just found out today that Jarom is amazing. I left Dexter with Lorraine while at work and came home to Jarom watching Dexter, he had been watching him without Lorraine for about 3 hours. They were both as happy as could be. Than Jarom was over last night, he was going to leave at 2am, Curtis and I were asleep. Right when Jarom was headed out Dexter woke up, so Jarom just grabbed him fed him and put him back to bed. Jarom stuck around a little bit more and Dexter woke up again, he was hide awake. So Jarom and Dexter hung out for an hour and then Jarom went home at 4 am. Dexter was fast asleep. If that is not a good uncle I don't know what is. I am amazed!!

We'll take it!!!

Curtis got an amazing score on his math test. Now you may not think that a 79% is all that amazing but it is when it comes to Math 1050, its only like the hardest class ever. So this bad boy is hanging up on our fridge. We are so proud of Curtis!!!!

True Happiness

We are online, Curtis and Mike are now connected. They will be playing XBOX against each other. Maybe me and Kim should start shopping online together?
Dexter makes life pretty fun, (we are ready for the next one-well I am)

In a couple weeks I will be redoing my bathroom, so that will be something new to blog rather than Dexter and XBOX.
