Reach and Burn

No crawling yet. Dexter will reach and immediately ends up this way with instant crying. Those darn arms need to catch up to the rest of his body. I think we are getting there.

The funniest person I know

From morning until night Dexter talks non-stop. This kid definately has some charachter. He just makes you laugh all the time.

New PJ's

Dexter has outgrown all his infant PJ's and the only ones I could find are the toddler ones with all the weird characters. Its cute when his belly hangs out.

You have been called to.......

Yesterday Curtis and I went to a mission farewell for a former employee of mine, she is going to Brazil. I have a busser who is waiting for his mission call this Wednesday and we are having a huge guessing game for where he will be going. Well during the midst of all this mission focus I had a dream. I dreamt that I got called on a mission to Sanjaya, Honduras. I didn't want to go on a mission because I would have to leave Curtis and Dexter. But that is where I was going was Sanjaya, Honduras-I think that is how you know that American Idol is everywhere. Sanjaya here I come.

Trim

Curtis and I just pulled back all the grass and made a nice edge with some pavers. This is my petal garden to the left.

Uh-oh

We were outside just sitting around, Dexter fell

Can you believe it?

Can you believe it, we finally have pantry shelves. It only took us 2 years to fix them. So on moving day into our house the shelves fell down, they were ghetto cheap. Well today we finally got them up. It only took 30 minutes to install minus the 2 years. Oh and we cleaned the fridge out. Big accomplishments!

Have at It

Dexter was a very dirty and stinky boy, so I thought he could add to it by eating a baby biscuit. Doesn't he look great before his bath. Nothing happier than a messy baby.

Employee of the Month

So Curtis just got employee of the month at Lowes (that is twice now) As soon as I saw his fancy award, I said I am blogging that, he said no I can't, well guess what I did. He got a Lowes buck for this. (which I think gets him a drink at the break room) So good job to Curty for his long stressful hours at Lowes.

FIFA

FIFA, it is only the newest best game on the XBOX to play at our house. So from 11 pm to 1 am its FIFA soccer. This is Josiah and Curtis taking turns. Josiah is our new late nighter Jarom-Brady-David. At least they all take turns of being our home body. So still at our house nobody sleeps. Ironic because Cody always said that, but I see him doing more of the sleeping than the nobody?????

Ramen goes a long way

We are officially grown up. For Christmas I wanted to get food storage, wouldn't that have been so fun to be opening cans of corn. Curtis didn't thinks so, so we got toys. So for Mother's Day I got food storage. We are covered, finally in that area. Its a good thing a crisis didn't happen between Christmas and now, because that would have been a fight and a should of-would of conversation.

Dexter no longer looks like a baby, ever since that haircut he looks much older.

Primary no more!

Today was our last day in primary. We have been released and set to move on in the ward. (I am personally bitter about it) Curtis is joining Elders Quorum as the secretary and I am going in as the athletic coach if you can call girls church sports athletics. (Still bitter) So no more little kids and stories. So I will leave you with our last two stories from primary. Today Deseret told me Happy Mother's Day because "I look like a mom". Cole was having an argument with Curtis about the Wii, saying it was better than the XBOX, he said, "yea huh, because that is what they said". We asked him who they were, and he said the internet. Curtis told him that everything you find on the internet must be true.
There was also an argument today about if Spiderman was really the bad guy or that was someone else, but he sure was scary; whoever that guy was.

Toity, Toity!!

A toilet finally and tile is done. We have a functioning bathroom again and don't have to use the tiny closet and holding down of the handle anymore. It is free flushing. Curtis finished grouting the tile also.

It's Coming

Our Central air is going in today and will be done tomorrow. We had to dig up one of my bushes to find a home for the unit. Sad!

A Navajo Buzz

It is Navajo tradition to buzz a childs hair completely for his first hair cut. (It will come in thicker-they even do it for the girls) So I was running an errand and came home to a buzzed baby. I was laughing so hard I started to cry and was so surprised. It is so cute and nice to see even hair and no more wings. Now it will all come in even. I am glad Curtis did it without me around because I think I would have talked him out of it. It's cute!! Man he has got a big head without that hair!!!

Ra-ra-ra-arggggggh!

Another game, another heartattack. Nothing like everyone sweating, eating pizza and listening to Jarom call the game, this time Craigey was in on it to. It makes for a fun night. At one point everyone yelled, Dexter instantly cried. Good times!!!

Cheeeeese

I think we have taken enough pictures of Dexter because when he sees the red light start to blink he pre shuts his eyes getting ready for the flash. Also Craig loves Dexter, his schedule always gets messed with when Craig is here. When he should be sleeping or eating he isn't because he is playing with his grandpa. Its worth it.

A dinosaur

We never knew that you got so much back in taxes when you have a home and a baby. Umm-we will be joining the Sweets with central air as well. This is our old furnace and it is 40 years old. We are probably not getting much good use out of it. So out with the old and in with the new. In 2 weeks we will be chillin'

Holla!

The Jazz won game 7 of round 1. Highly intense! I tried to get Curtis in a action shot of his many dances, fists pumps and screams while watching the game.

Finish work

Craig was willing to put the baseboards in downstairs and when he is willing you take it and quickly. So here is his handy work downstairs. It is amazing how much it updates everything downstairs. It is a huge transformation and beautiful.

Deadliest catch

Lorraine has established a new favorite hobby and it is called Deadliest catch on the discovery channel. It is about crabbing up in Alaska. She has got us all hooked and that is what she watches while she watches Dexter. So we took her to dinner the other night at Mc Graths and we made her order the biggest plate of crab she could get. We didn't take any pictures at dinner but on the way out we find a sweet Delorean. Back to the future!

An update

So I thought I should hurry and update before I get a comment saying update your blog losers. Its been busy in our parts so this is all we have got. Here is a picture of Dexter; it is 1 am and he is wide awake laughing and talking. Maybe we are bad parents, but we are letting him stay awake so we can enjoy him. This kid is so funny and happy.

Basement Renovation

So we are cleaning and gutting our basement, because we are so excited for our new tenant and we only want him to have the best, which means nobody sleeps, oh but I will be sleeping. Here is a tour of all our work so far and the transition of our basement.

This is our hallway/kitchen with painted doors and cabinets, it use to be dark and dreary.

This is our laundry room with new floors and matching paint.

This living room is special, it use to be the color of green grass, with nasty brown carpet and carpet on the walls, than a sea green, than a yellow and than back to a green. Now it is a beige with some green on the outer facing wall.

This is my new favorite room, this is the bathroom and it use to be baby blue and black, now it is brown and beige, super manly.

This room use to be lilac, now it is beige.

This room use to be teal and its sister room use to be burgandy, now it is blue and beige. So finally everything is updated and to more neutral colors.
